Teething Baby Survival Kit

The sleepless nights, endless drool, & fussiness is driving me crazy. I haven’t had a good nights rest in I don’t know how long. I am exhausted. I don’t remember teething being this difficult with Zoey, then again it was 7 years ago and let’s face it my memory is not as great as it used to be. Lia began teething around 3 months, I thought great lets get this over with…she didn’t break a tooth until 7! The morning after her baptism she woke up with two pearly white bottom teeth. I was terrified! I heard so many moms talking about being bitten while nursing and when I felt those two break through I flinched.

Luckily, she only tested her limits one weekend. After hearing “No Muerdas” (I speak to her in Spanish) a couple of times, and me stopping our nursing session after I said that she got the hint. We had a break of about a week before the madness began again. I can feel those two top ones poking trying to make their way out! It seems like she is teething so much she might just wake up with a full mouth-joking-that would be really scary.

So what have I found works? There seems to be a million and one products and remedies for teething, everyone gives you different advice. I think I tried just about everything and have found that some days some things work and others call for alternative measures. Although I might try new things there are a few products that I highly recommend you have to ease your baby’s discomfort and hopefully give you a little piece of mind.

Amber Teething Necklace

I was a little skeptical at first about whether or not these amber necklaces actually worked. The way an amber necklace works is by releasing analgesic oils triggered by your baby’s body heat. These oils are them absorbed by your baby’s skin and causes relief to your baby’s swollen and sore gums. It seems to be the natural remedy everyone is talking about so we decided to give it a shot. We purchased Lia’s Powell Owl’s Baltic Amber necklace on Amazon after much research and we noticed she was less fussy than before. So for about 5 months now Lia has been wearing her necklace daily. Now you want to keep the necklace on all day, but for safety reasons put around the ankle at night time.

Teething Bibs

Yes of course you can use regular bibs for your baby. BUT-have you seen the amount of drool a teething baby has lately? It is A LOT! I felt I was going through about 5-6 bibs per day because they were constantly getting soaked. We became brand reps for Goobie Baby not too long ago and have gotten a chance to review their products, we are in love! Their bibs are 4 layered which means they soak up all the drool better than anything else I have ever owned. The bibs are waterproof so there is no having to constantly change a bib or it soaking through to your precious outfits. These bibs are also reversible offering 2 options in 1. Not only are they practical, but the bandana style makes your little one look stylish even while teething. Let’s just say I am ordering a couple of sets for Lia, they are must haves.

Teething Toys

There is such a huge selection in the teething toys out there. We love ones that you can throw in the freezer, they offer extra relief when Lia is having tough days. Although most of the teethers end up frozen all around we found the Mam Mini Cooler Teether to be our favorite because it has a handle that does not freeze. With that handle your little ones hands won’t end up ice cold.

Teething Necklaces

Not for baby to wear Mamma Bears-for you! I am obsessed! This is hands down my favorite product of all time. Goobie Baby not only makes amazing teething bibs, they actually specialize in 100% Baby Safe Silicone Necklace for you to wear! It is like having something for your baby to teeth on you at all times. They are made with 100% non-toxic, food grade silicone, they are BPA & phthalate free. There necklaces are dishwasher safe and are so easy to clean. Not only are the practical and feel great on those little teething gums, they are so stylish. I have two already and kid you not I’m looking for a third! They offer a few different designs and colors to make it easy to pair up with any of your outfits. You can go check out my instagram I promise you will be seeing a lot of stylish options for these!

Now let’s get on to the good stuff- I love these products so much I have decided to give you all a chance to win what I am calling the Teething Baby Survival Kit. I will be giving away a Powell Owl’s Amber Teething Necklace, a set of Goobie Baby waterproof bandana bibs, a MAM Mini Cooler Teether, and a Goobie Baby Audrey Teething Necklace in Black. Details will be up on my Instagram later today so don’t miss out! Can’t wait for one of you lucky Mamma Bears to give those littles some relief and try some of my favorite products.

Love,

Mamma Bear
