Styling Scalloped Shorts

I live in sunny Southern California where we get those beautiful 100+ degree weather days. The heat can make getting dressed such a hassle. On those super hot days I don’t want to wear anything with sleeves or any thick fabrics. The heat does not help this struggling mama to feel good about anything she is wearing. But not to worry, I have been finding some great pieces to rock during this horrible heat. I can deal with the heat, my kids, and still feel fabulous.

Disclosure: I received this product for a review, but this is my 100% honest review of the product.

The newest addition to my wardrobe are these super cute black scalloped trim shorts from PinkBlush. These shorts are super cute and comfortable. I was able to run around doing my mom things in them.

About the shorts:

  • Soft fabric is 96% Polyester 4% Spandex
  • Solid black scalloped trim shorts.
  • Front pockets.
  • Back zipper closure with a hook to secure them.
  • Dry Clean or Machine Wash Cold
  • length is perfect: not too short

How I styled them:

I love to pair simple pieces with patterned or textured ones. In this case I paired these cute black shorts with a simple olive green tank top. I tucked in my top to show the pretty scalloped detail on the top of the shorts. I love that they are classic black. The color makes it super easy to match with everything. I left my hair down and wore cute black sandals to tie it all together.

I walked out the door feeling great and ready to take on the day.

Wow those shorts are super cute and they’re high enough to cover post baby stuff (if you need that) and just the right length. Not too short and obscene or too long and dowdy.

They look so cute — and great on you. The big question tho: do they ride up? I have yet to find shorts that don’t ride up as my thighs are *ahem* ample. 🙃
