Picky eaters. We all have them. We all know them. And some of us were them. Maybe it looked funny or it smelled different, regardless there were tons of foods I turned away. I was the worst of picky eaters. I have seen Zoey go through phases. Some days she will love vegetables other days she swears she hates those same ones that she loved two days ago. Kids change their minds so often it can be difficult to encourage them to try new foods.

Our new friend Milton has been helping me with mealtime. Milton now shares a seat at our table or Lia’s high chair to help the girls feel “brave” enough to try something new.
How Does Milton Help?
You know how you do the whole “Look mommy is eating it now you try” thing? Well how about we have Milton try it. Better yet how about we have the kids help Milton try something new. Milton comes with a cute little story of how he came to be and why he likes healthy foods.
Milton’s Story
Milton lived on a planet where the food selection was not the best. His natural color is beautiful bright blue but because of the nasty foods he was turning grey. So he hope on a space ship and found his way to Earth. Here on earth he was able to try delicious and healthy foods with his new family. He helped by cooking them too.
There are tons of cute pictures of Milton eating, at the grocery store, and cooking new meals. With your very own Milton you get to be the one to introduce him to healthy foods and you get to be family who he continues his healthy habits.
It took some time to convince Zoey that Milton was real, mind you she is 7. However, she played along for her sister. She might not believe he is real but she understands the moral of his life story & what he is with us to do. Leave it to big sister to show little sister how Milton munches on foods we are trying to introduce. We have incorporated these healthy habits from very early on in Lia’s life. You hear the words “What veggies are we eating with this?” coming out of Zoey all the time and we love it! What you put in your body is so important & it’s important to teach our kids to take care of theres. Milton’s help is greatly appreciated as we continue our goal for healthy eating habits.
Oh, I love this idea. Not too sure it would work with my 5 year, but I’ll be storing this idea away for future picky eaters!!
my 7 year old was unsure lol but for her sister she plays along
