This year we decided not to focus on each other, instead we will focus on our kiddos. This year Valentine’s Day is ALL ABOUT THEM! In light of our decision I decided to give you guys some family friendly Valentine’s Day party ideas. This way, you too, can make the day all about your kiddos.

1.Decorate Your “Valentine’s Day Party”
Pick up some decorations at your local dollar store or my favorite, Amazon, and get your place full of hearts and kisses. I found some super cute decorations I have stashed away to surprise them the day of with a ton of pink and red! All of this without hurting my bank account!
2.Watch A Movie
Sure, Fifty Shades Freed will probably be sold out Valentine’s Day night, but try a fun family/cartoon movie just for them. Or, if you are like me, and you also avoid being out on Valentine’s night, pick up or Netflix their favorite movie. Kids always love when they get to decide on what to watch.
3.Get Them A Card
Yes, they will get tons of cards at school. BUT! I promise you they will love their card from you even more! There are tons of super cute cards with messages written specially for your kids. Better yet, make them a card! It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, just something meant just for them.
4.Have Their Favorite Food
That dinner make their favorite food. Even if that means you are eating dino nuggets or pb&j for dinner. Remind them the menu is made specially for them!
5.Make Their Favorite Dessert
This night forget about the rules and just have some fun. Bake their favorite desserts or pick up some ice cream. Even if they don’t finish their dinner let them indulge this one night. They will always remember the fun they had.
Life is so different as a parent. Lia might not understand what we are doing, but Zoey is at the age where she remembers it all. This year we don’t want flowers or a night alone. This year we want to spend it with them and spoil them a little. We want to remind them that they deserve all the love in the world & that Valentine’s Day is not just about LOVE. The love you have for your family and the love you have for your friends. A day to remind them that you are always thinking of them.
