Diaper Changing Station Must Haves

This post is sponsored by Sposie but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

If asked what is my absolute must have for a baby- it’s a diaper changing station. I had one with my oldest and definitely have one now with my youngest. Although, yes you can change a baby anywhere and many times we do, my favorite place is still her changing station. Not only does it help me and anyone else know where her belongings are, she has learned what her changing station is for.

A diaper changing station is a great set up to have with babies. Check out my must haves. diaper, diaper changes, diapering, diaper time, diaper changing

Diaper Changing Station Must Haves

I loved being able to personalize her changing station. But even though there are cute touches to make it special to Lia, there are also a few must haves I believe should be standard for all changing stations.

1.A basket/cube/cubby

I found the perfect sized basket to fit all my diaper changing basics. The basket just helps keep everything organized and in one place without just having stuff laying around.

2.Diapers

You might be thinking well duh…but I mean still you should have diapers- and that means more than one. You have no idea how many times daddy has changed a middle of the night diaper that turned into him using 2-3 diapers to finish the change.  Have plenty within hands reach. I recommend at least 10 in there and keep refilling it.

3.Sposie Diaper Pads

These diaper inserts are great to help prevent leaks. They work great with both cloth and disposable diapers giving you the ease of knowing you won’t wake up to a leaked diaper and wet bed. It’s not a fun thing to wake to. All you do is simply insert your Sposie pad inside your child’s regular diaper and voila you have an overnight diaper! No more waking up in the middle of the night because of wet diapers-you can sleep instead!

Sposie diaper pads provide increased absorbency by 8 fl. oz. Their quilted design is perfect for keeping liquid away from your baby’s skin and helping reduce diaper rash.  With Sposie Diaper Pads not only are we able to keep those leaks from happening, they are also great for longer than average trips you may take. For my chemical-free mamas like myself know that they are made chlorine-Free, latex-free, fragrance-free AND MADE IN THE USA!!!

If you are like me, and value your sleep…you can shop for Sposie Booster Pads at Target, WalMart, and Amazon!

4.Changing Pad & Cover

You want a soft surface to change your baby along with a cover and a spare cover just in case it’s needed. Don’t forget to check the measurements for these! For your child’s safety check the regulations and procedures to safely secure the changing pad to your changing station.

5. Diaper rash creams & lotions

We keep our diaper rash essentials at hand as well. We make sure to have a cream and an ointment just in case its a severe one. Along with those our baby lotion is there perfect for post bath-time.

6.Hand Sanitizer

We live by hand sanitizer. One at the changing table and one on our diaper bag. Making your way to wash your hands after can get interrupted with little ones. Keeping a hand sanitizer at hand makes sure you kill those bacteria right away.

Our diaper changing station continues to be in full-use even at Lia’s 21 months of age and will continue to do so until she is out of diapers. You better believe our next kids will also have a super fun and well equipped changing station too! Share what your diaper changing must haves are below!

This really makes life easier for parents when the baby needs changing. Thanks for the list. This will come in handy for future parents, too.

This setup would make it so easy to change diapers. A task I did not enjoy much when babysitting since I didn’t have most of these items, and let’s just say the mess wasn’t just on the baby.

This is a great list! I always liked having lotion nearby for me and baby (dry winter skin!). A wipe warmer was a must for me because our changing table was right by a drafty window.

So glad Sposie Diaper Doublers are one of your Diaper Changing Station essentials. Here’s hoping that fewer leaks and dryer baby skin will help cut down on your little one’s diaper rashes! <3 the Sposie Team!
