Hi Friends,
I feel like I have owed you guys this post for A LONG TIME AGO. If you follow our story along on Instagram you know we bought our house in August. It is a house we are loving more and more but it definitely needed a good amount of TLC. To start off the whole house had popcorn ceiling and it was painted what I call Fifty Shades of Orange. I wish I was joking but the majority of the house with the exception of the bedrooms ranged from peach to a burnt orange.
One of the biggest projects for us was the girl’s room. We wanted to give them something bright and lively to match their personalities. Originally this room was a grayish blue toned with a dark fan (which we quickly replaced for a white one).

From day 1 I had the idea to create an accent wall with rainbow polka dots with a complimentary shade of pink for the rest of the room. Finding the right shade of pink was completely my husband’s gift, we went for the Sherman Williams Quaint . On the walls it looks even dreamier than on paper. For the polka dots I purchased some removable wall stickers off of Amazon. They were so easy to move around and did not peel our paint!
In our old apartments Lia had her toddler bed and Zoey a dark wood twin sized bed. Our goal has been to keep them sharing a room until Zoey gets older but we wanted to save space. I did a lot of research and found this set of bunk beds the perfect height off the ground to where Lia could easily climb in and out. White was the best choice to allow us to keep their dresser and desk plus it just totally fits the pink.

We have some shelving we wish to add as well as framed photos and some of their artwork. In the meantime a wool pom pom garland adds a super cute touch and their blackout curtains pom pom details are enough. Both of which I found at just about our favorite store- Target! To match the overall theme of the room we partnered up with Beddys Beds for these amazing polka dot bedding sets. Not only do we love the print, we love how easy it is to make their beds in the morning.
Although we have not added the finishing touches as far as decoration goes (it’s coming I promise to keep you updated), the room has a very bright and fun feel to it. Stay tuned for more home renovation projects coming your way.

I am loving all of these fun colors! And I’m sure your kids do too! 🙂
hey definitely do love them
It makes such a difference when you paint a room with lighter colors. Everything suddenly becomes happier! I love white for a little girl’s room and have considered painting the furniture in my daughter’s room. The pom pom garland is too cute, and I am all about either making some of that or buying it for my classroom at church!
yes totally agree the paint has made such a difference
It looks great as well as functional! Bunk beds are great. When my second child was born, we got a set and now my youngest two use it. (Even though we have extra bedrooms now, they choose to share a room.)
yes bunk beds are the best!
I absolutely love what you’ve done with their room! I need to redo my daughter’s room sometime soon. Thanks for the inspiration. I love the polka dots! Just the splash of color that every room needs 🙂
yes its just the right amount
That is such a cute girls bedroom. We recently moved our girls into the same room. We are wanting to get them a bunk bed to help clear up som space for them.
Very colorful. I am sure this will bring great times ahead.
thanky ou they love it
This looks amazing, my daughter just turned two and we are looking to transition her and I have been thinking about changing her baby room theme as well, thanks for sharing this.
