Can you guys believe it’s the end of May?! In 11 short days we will be saying “Hello” to June- you know Father’s Day month! I am all for finding budget-friendly or no cost ideas to spend to celebrate. So let’s find some ways to celebrate that special father in your life without breaking the bank.
1.Handmade Cards
They are super cute and if you throw a handprint on them well now you have something to collect and see how much those kids have grown over the years.
2.Handmade gifts
These gifts include gifts from you mammas and from your kiddos. Maybe you crochet him a beanie, bake him a cake, and these to that handmade card your kids just made.
3.Potluck Get Together
Not only will a potluck mean everyone chips in, you get to gather all the special men in your life in one place and cut the having to commute from one home to the next this way too.
4.Picnic at the Park
We LOVE family picnics. You can throw some sandwiches together and some snacks from your pantry, a blanket in the car and boom! Enjoy some time with your kids outdoors.
5.Wash His Car
My husband loves his car clean as much as anyone else out there. Grab your kids and have everyone help with washing dads car. Not only will he appreciate it, the kids will have tons of fun getting soapy and wet.
6.Breakfast in Bed
Ladies, we are not the only ones who appreciate this. Get the kids up, get to cooking and bring him breakfast in bed.
7.Set up a Slip N Slide
The majority of our husbands have this inner child just waiting to come out. My husband always talks about slip n slides growing up. You bet we will be setting one up so he can let that inner child out.
8. At Home Movie Night
Redbox, Netflix, Amazon Prime, whatever you want to do- but find some movies and pick up some movie snacks. Bring pillows and blankets in front of your TV and have those snacks ready for a fun movie night.
The possibilities are endless. Get your kids involved in the planning- you would be surprised at all the great ideas they have!
