Hello Mamma Bears! I am so excited to get to share with you all of the details of our baby shower. The woodland animals theme has been a popular one lately, from boho to a more lumberjack style. I knew if we had two boys I wanted a woodland theme for their shower as well as their nursery, this would allow me to repurpose decorations. My mom and I began collecting ideas on Pinterest. I knew I wanted a more rustic spin and I wanted the colors to be more neutral with blues and grays so we tailored everything to that. A lot of what we used to decorate were things we already had in our homes or items we were able to find at Ross, Home Goods, and Marshalls. I knew I wanted to go for simple, earthy, and just add touches here and there. For the dessert table I used this ladder like piece of furniture my mom had in her living room for presentation vs. a traditional dessert table. Throughout the stand we added little bundles of each dessert type; cupcakes, chamoy covered apples, bags of puff “crack corn” I made (stay tuned for the recipe), arroz con leche (sharing the recipe soon too), and these beautiful decorated sugar cookies from Nannette’s Pastry Shoppe. These cookies were as delicious as they were beautiful and all our guests raved about them! I made sure to set them out a few at a time and stash a couple for the girls, my husband, and I to enjoy because I kid you not people grabbed at least 2! It was so hard to choose a design because they were all so darn cute!
