I am so excited to share that the boys are about to make their first trip to Disneyland this week! Lia turns 3 this week and our whole family is celebrating at The Happiest Place on Earth! As excited as we are, we are also a bit nervous! I have been to Disneyland with both girls as young as 3 weeks…but I have NEVER been to Disneyland with twins! Although I already know what to pack for a baby…for some reason knowing I need to pack for two makes me feel like I need to make sure I don’t miss anything! So here is my list !
REMEMBER: Most of these items can be found at the Baby Center in case you forget yours…which trust me friends- HAPPENS!
My kiddos are formula fed babies and I need to make sure I pack enough to last us throughout the day. I thankfully have these cool on the go formula containers in which I can pre-portion the amount they need per bottle making it easy to just pour into their bottles with milk and boom! I always pack an extra feeding just in case of an emergency! However, do not fear- if you forget yours or need more you can visit the Baby Centers at either parks and purchase some more as well as have ample space to feed and change your babies. For my breastfeeding mamas, you can also find a private place to nurse there if you wish to.
We love the Playtex Drop Ins bottles when on the go. All we do is pack up extra liners, an on the go bottle brush, and some extra nipples in case we need them and boom.
We pack water for everyone in our family. We make sure to pack two water bottles for their feedings. Of course, you can also purchase bottles at the park as well.
I also travel with at least 16 diapers in our bag, I account for 8 changes x 2 babies which is average for us in a 24 hour period. So do I pack extras, yes 16 gives me some wiggle room because blowouts happen without warning.
2 EXTRA OUTFITS
There are always 2 extra outfits; socks, onesies, bottoms or full sleep and plays at hand. I also make sure to bring a light beanie for each baby in case it gets cool at night. But you know if you need extras, the shops around the parks are filled with tons of items you can purchase and will probably want to ! lol I know I do!
Bibs & Burp Cloths
I have one messy eating baby so I tend to travel with about 5 bibs and 3 burp cloths for a full-day.
I travel with 2 swaddles ALWAYS! The weather is still warm and we do not need thicker blankets yet, but you bet once the cold hits you can find 2 blankets rolling with us too!
We always travel with stroller blankets large enough to cover them fully in their bassinets or seats. These strollers help block out the wind and cold and provide some shade. I do advise you not to cover your babies when it is hot as it can increase the temperature inside by an additional 20 degrees and cause your baby to heat up! Safety first!
We don’t go anywhere without our UPPAbaby VISTA! Since the boys cannot yet hold their heads up we travel with our bassinets many times. They provide a safe sleeping place for the babies, which lets face is much of what they spend their time doing! Along with our double stroller we attach the piggyback board as well to tow Lia along!
Since the babies do not yet require toys or snacks those are not on our list yet but you bet there will be an addition of the following once they do:
- on-the-go baby food pouches/jars
- stroller toys
Now wish us luck as we embark on Disney adventures as a family of 6!!!!
