One of the biggest lessons my husband and I have learned as parents is YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT FUN! This is especially true with our kids and meals. To make things fun we add fun twists to foods they love. One of our favorites is creating a fry bar with baked french fries.
Let’s be honest, it was a favorite for us too! And well, this mama loved how easy it was to cook and set up with McCain® Quick Cook French Fries . We picked these delicious fries at Albertsons. They cut our prep time in half* and while the french fries baked, I worked on toppings and setup.

Baking the Fries
By purchasing the McCain Quick Cook fries I made the cooking process way easier. All you need to do is preheat your oven, place the fries on a non-stick baking sheet, and bake according to the packaging. These fries cook in half the time* compared to McCain’s traditional fries.
I love that McCain potatoes are made with no artificial flavors, which is perfect for feeding my kiddos. My kids become slightly impatient when it comes to snacks and mealtimes. A huge bonus for me is the quickness in which these baked french fries are done! Only takes minutes to make these 100% real, 100% delicious fries for my whole family who will eat them just as fast!

You want to make sure you cook your fries until they are a light golden color. This may vary on the power of the appliance you are using. My best tip, keep an eye on them while they cook =). On average the Crinkle Cut & Straight Cut take about 10-13 minutes and the Waffle 8-10. Faster to Prepare. Easier to Share.

Preparing Your Baked French Fries Bar
The most fun part of having a french fries bar is the freedom to top your baked french fries with whatever you like. I place a few different kinds of dressings, sauces, meats, cheese, and chili on the table alongside the fries.
Not only does this french fries bar give them the freedom to top as they please, eating family-style encourages everyone to try something different. Once I have the fries ready to go, I lay everything on the table and let everyone get to choose their style of fries and whatever they want to top them with.

These baked french fries are so delicious and can be a great and quick snack, a fun meal, or paired with some of your favorites. The best part is having them on hand to save this mama from the rush of hungry kiddos.
* Compared to McCain® 32 OZ Crinkle Fries, 32 OZ Classic Fries, and 26 OZ Seasoned Waffle Fries (respectively) in conventional ovens.

Hope I can find this brand.
